- Ngonjoh Melvis Ngwachi
“I am Ngonjoh Melvis Ngwachi, I am 20 years old, I come from Bambalang tripe of the Ndop central subdivision-Ngoketunjia North West Region Bamenda Cameroon. I am currently a first year student of the university of Bamenda specifically HTTTC ( ENSET) enrolled in the department of Administrative Techniques studying Management. I am the departmental treasurer of my school and the Female Officer for the protection of student’s right in my school as part of the student government.
on Sunday the 1st of March 2025 I was invited for a conference organized by RWASJ at the Bamenda regional house of assembly which I attended and learn a lot that has being my source of strength till date. I was empowered from the lessons that were thought at the conference especially on GBV. I come from a local community where GBV is mostly practiced and I have always had the passion to rise and fight against it as well as free and help other young girls facing GBV of which I too had once been a victim of it. After the conference, I was opportune to join the RWASJ organization and be part of it. Today I am very happy because I know and I believe that just in a short time I will be able to change a lot from my community and external too as I have been a model to a lot of young girls so far that they are able to open up to me having heard my story and how RWASJ mentored me to being who I am. I am really grateful and thankful to God for the founder of this organization and I believe we will be a strong foundation of change to the world. Thank you all so much for your supports.”

- Ngonga Linda
“I am thrilled to share my experience attending the recent event organized by Rural Women Action for Sustainability and Justice in commemoration of International Women’s Day. This gathering was not only a celebration of women’s strength and resilience but also an essential platform for addressing critical issues such as human trafficking, gender-based violence (GBV), and health. The facilitators delivered insightful presentations that illuminated the challenges faced by women in our communities. Their expertise and passion were evident, fostering an environment where participants felt empowered to engage in meaningful discussions. The knowledge shared during these sessions is invaluable, equipping us with the tools needed to advocate for ourselves and our peers. A highlight of the event was the production and distribution of liquid soap to all participants.
This initiative not only promoted hygiene but also symbolized our collective commitment to sustainability and self-sufficiency. It was heartening to see how practical actions can complement educational efforts, reinforcing the idea that we can make a difference in our lives and communities. This event marks the first of many activities planned by Rural Women Action for Sustainability and Justice. I am excited about what lies ahead as we continue to work together towards sustainability and justice for all women. I wholeheartedly support their mission and look forward to participating in future initiatives that will further empower rural women.
Together, we are stronger, and I am proud to be part of this transformative journey.

“I am Takem Maureen Anam and am excited to say that Rural Women’s Action for Sustainability and Justice (RWASJ) has been a powerful instrument of the transformation of lives. As a teacher and a student in the International Relations Institute of Cameroon (IRIC), I have gained some skills participating in RWASJ’s programme organized on the 2nd of March 2025, the eve of the 40th edition of the International Women’s Day. It was a project initiation capacity building workshop marked by the production of liquid soap as an economic empowerment activity.
I was glad to be an active participant because the skill gotten will go a long way to transform others
RWASJ is impacfuly changing the narratives by getting women and girls who are principal victims of GBV and human trafficking to actively engage in the challenging fight against violence of all types . RWASJ opened my eyes into man”
