Ms. Takem Maureen Anam

Ms. Takem Maureen Anam is a dedicated and enthusiatic Cameroonian Master’s 2 student pursuing dual specializations in Urban and Rural Dynamics at the University of Yaounde 1 and International Cooperation, Humanitarian Action, and Environmental Management at the International Relations Institute of Cameroon (IRIC).

Building upon a strong academic foundation, she furthermore acquired certified expertise as a Digital Teacher and practitioner in Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) from the Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP). Consequently, she is equipped to merge technical digital skills with essential human-centric approaches to development. The skills have served her over many years in the classroom as an Educator of Geography and Religious Studies.

Maureen, Being trained with GAICAM as a Model United Nations Young Leaders Parliamentarian (MUNYLEP) and with Diaspora Expert Mission in Collaboration with Lola Leadership Foundation in Civic Engagement, Women’s Leadership, Youth Empowerment, Peacebuilding, and Inclusive governance, she actively participates in community engagement initiatives in Yaounde 4, which involves strategic interaction with local government officials—including the Divisional Officer (DO), delegations of Agriculture and Commerce—as well as municipal councils and schools. Additionally, her civic engagement is demonstrated through active participation in national events such as the Youth Week match pass.

She is a dedicated humanitarian whose work has touched countless lives and her commitment to helping others was ignited at a young age. To meet human need wherever it exists, by upholding Human Dignity, inclusivity, Embracing creative solutions, and collaboration to address complex challenges

Underpinning this entire professional and academic portfolio is a profound, long-term commitment to servant leadership ongoing role as an Ambassador of Christ since 2012. This foundational experience not only informs but also inspires her holistic approach to community building, sustainable development, and ethical governance, creating a cohesive link between faith in action and pragmatic change.
